That's definitely a cute cut..but instead of the bangs being rather straight across like in the pic..try layered bangs..where it gradually goes down..or angled bangs..bangs that go straight across wouldnt work with the shape of your face..maybe think about some dark blonde highlights..or even light brown..it'd definitely be cute for ya..good luck..

ya its cute...and heres some ways to change it up!

buy those soft curlers and sleep in them. it is soooo easy and you save so much time in the morning. you just take them out and only brush the top of your hair otherwise you brush right through the curls. then use hairspray, not mousse. ive found that a great brand of hairspray is matrix hairspray. and for looser, messier curls, you separate each curl in two. it is a more casual, less shirley temple look.

then for waves, sleep in braids. (the number depending on how wavy you want your hair. i would probably recommend about eight or so) then you just take them out in the morning and just brush the top of your hair. you can use hairspray, but i usually dont need it, but then again, my hair holds waves really well......

and if you shower in the morning, scrunch your hair with mousse and it looks pretty good but might get a little frizzy.

and as for just regular hairstyles, i would try sidebangs or whispy bangs instead of thick ones......dont know about the cut i might have to see the shape of your face, sry....

you can also do buns, because they are pretty in, or low pigtails, but you might be a little old for them, but my sister in college looks cute in them so i dont know.....

as for hairbands, very cute and in!!! definitely!!!

u could wear your hair half-up, leaving your bangs down.....

My hair is 90% black. The roots are a red'ish brown colour and some other odd colour. I have what I like to call straivy hair. It's not exactly straight, but it's not completely wavy and my hair is pretty thick.

I like the length its at now and have no problem cutting it a little shorter as long as it isn't too short. I've been thinking about getting some bangs but I'm not too sure.

Anyways, what kind of haircut/style do you think would look good on me? Reference pictures/websites would be nice.

well to be honest the rate that your hair grows varies from person to person. My friend and i both shaved our head at the same time and never got around to cutting it and before we knew it we decided to grow it out and i doesnt take as long as you would think you just have to stick with it because there is a point between short and long that your hair will just look stupid...at this point my friend and i invested a some good hats until our hair grew out to the desired length...his hair was 2 inches longer than mine towards the end....it took almost a year till our hair was chris angel status

I have a big head too and I think you would look good with a long full style. I really like Brandy Pro 10 Frech Bulk. Thats the hair I used the last time my hair was braided. You can do so much with it and its really long. Its 18" folded in half, unfolded its 36", You can straighten or curl it with a flat iron on low heat. If you want more waves you can wet it then put big plaits in it and let it dry, and when you take out the plaits you have big beautiful waves! The hair is virtually tangle free. Oh, and its only 19.99 per bundle!

I have very wavy hair (although I usually straighten it) and I had my hair cut into long layers. It makes it a lot easier to style your hair, adds more movement and body, and makes it look and feel a lot healthier. I strongly recommend it. Also, ask your stylist to shape the front of your hair as well, it brings the layers to a whole new level. I'm not sure what the bangs look like (I did an image search but did not see any bangs), but if they're side-swept, then I'd say go for it, but it's a little tricky to get used to styling them at first. Good luck. I'm sure your hair will look great. :)

my hair is very very curly and it gets poofy eventually when it is dry. it is about as long as my shoulders and dark brown. what can i do with it to make it look good? should i get highlights (and if yes, what color), what hair prouducts should i try adn what hair styles should i try for back to school?

I have the same type of hair, so I feel your struggle. :) I use deep conditioning shampoos (Aussie 3 minute miracle is great) and after my hair dries I put smoothing sirum in it to take away the frizziness (Dove brand works well without making your hair look greasy). And for those days when my hair just won't cooperate no matter what, a twist up or braids are always good. Good luck!

try a half-up-half-down. put your fingers at the end of each eyebrow on the outside and point up. thats where it should end. i do it all the time! its really cute!! another thing you can do is put your hair in a low messy bun and put on a chunky headband. My friends do it all the time and everybody loves it!!! Also, try french braiding your hair at night while its damp and in the morning it will have that scrunchy look. its really in. if you don't like it then you can straighten your hair or put it in a ponytail. Hope one of these works for you!!!

I would recommend a good cut and ask for some style suggestions from the haircutter. One time I went in and said, "I know you know what would look best on me so go for it", I closed my eyes and let the haircutter have at it. IT was fun and such a great surprise. Everyone really noticed and I got tons of compliments. P.s Do it with a haircutter that has some sense of style and has been cutting hair for a few years! Good luck.

try a messy bun-it is a messy yet hot look; or try this Victorian insprired style: take your hair and put it up in a pony tail high at the top of your head but not too high either, then when you do the pony tail you take your hair-not the one that is hanging down- and separte it into 2, making a small hole. take your ponytail and flip it inside the -it will give you this whole new look that takes a couple of minutes to do. also, try loose and soft curls with your hair, ringlets, or leave it down but make it a messy look-like you just came from the beach sort of look.

try brushing it over in a differnet part, half up half down, use a clip, make it kinky make it wavy try a bunch of stuff. try flipping it a few time to give it some body when u wear it down all day (flipping=bend over and flip up real fast gives body to the hair)

Well, it depends on whether the long hair looks healthy. Healthy looking hair on a woman looks very nice, and looks younger. However, if your hair is long and damaged with split ends and/or dry brittle, it might be in your best interest to cut it.

yes it grows for a reason- to be styled and cut! it does not make you look younger AT ALL- it makes you look, in my opinion, earthy. If you are an earthy person, then by all means go ahead as you were. But i think to look younger you need to be updated every once in a while. also, if you choose not to cut, to keep your hair healthy-looking, regularly trim the ends to prevent split ends.

Personally I think long hair makes a person look older. Once you hit 30 you should cut that hair and take 5 years off your look.

yea i agree with you. it is. i dont think that longer hair will nesecarily make you look younger, but it will definetley not make you look 80 .still make sure you get it trimmed every few months or so. i think that you should probaly get a few layers if not done so already tho, just to soften the look of it.

My hair is long too, no bangs, down to my hips. I only wash %26amp; condition it, and every once in a loooooong while get it trimmed. Fortunately, it's very healthy and shiny and thick. I %26lt;TOTALLY%26gt; disagree with a person HAVING to cut it after age 30. Baloney! If you want long hair, by all means, keep the long hair.

Do you have split ends? Is your hair dry? Long hair is old hair, ya gotsta keep it conditioned. Once in a blue moon, I slather my hair with mayonnaise, put a shower cap over that, let it soak in for about an hour, wash it out, then condition it. I wash it as many times as it takes to get all the mayo smell and oiliness out. The result is really nice, mayo is a great, inexpensive conditioner.

As long as you trim for split ends and keep the hair clean and well conditioned (remember, long hair is old hair so it gets more brittle toward the ends), then keep the long hair.

I have a big head too and I think you would look good with a long full style. I really like Brandy Pro 10 Frech Bulk. Thats the hair I used the last time my hair was braided. You can do so much with it and its really long. Its 18" folded in half, unfolded its 36", You can straighten or curl it with a flat iron on low heat. If you want more waves you can wet it then put big plaits in it and let it dry, and when you take out the plaits you have big beautiful waves! The hair is virtually tangle free. Oh, and its only 19.99 per bundle!

What hair style would be best for me?

I'm 14 and would like a hair style. Right now I have side bangs on my left but they are awfully to long and I wear glasses so they get in the way. My natural colour is blonde and I an oval shaped face with slightly chubby cheeks. Nothing to wild or dramatic since I only have hair that touches my shoulders.

I do like bangs but I would like them out of the way of my glasses so if you have any suggestions please post them along with a picture explaining you suggestion.

Hers is fake. Its a head band... they sell them in some beauty stores. The way that you could do it would to braid it starting low in the back and wrap it around.... pinning it with bobby pins all the way through. Good luck.

I have long hair as well and it looks as if its a single braid and then wrapped with hair pins in it to hold it up not sure though here is a site i use as well to help new styles hopefully you will like these as well.

wen u get out of the shower jsut kind of run your hands through it and like move it around kind of amke it messy but put a little gel in ur hands.

First, if you don't already have thick hair you need to put a little mousse in it and fluff it up (only a little bit of mousse though)

Second, get a curling iron and turn it side ways so that you curl all the from part going up, then flip it up (don't curl it under)

Third, I would just do random curls in my hair then flatten it down a little at the top

There is really no easy way to get curly hair if you naturally have straight. But here' how that look can be accomplished:

1)After washing your hair, put some mousse into the palm of your hand and lather it into your hair. This adds volume.

3)OPTIONAL: IF YOU FEEL YOUR HAIR IS NOT YET CURLY ENOUGH, GO AHEAD AND DO THIS: Put hot rollers in your hair. Take a section of your hair and wrap around the curler. Let sit for 20 minutes.

4) Take curlers out and ruffle your hair.

5) Spray your curls with hairspray lightly.

I have a big head too and I think you would look good with a long full style. I really like Brandy Pro 10 Frech Bulk. Thats the hair I used the last time my hair was braided. You can do so much with it and its really long. Its 18" folded in half, unfolded its 36", You can straighten or curl it with a flat iron on low heat. If you want more waves you can wet it then put big plaits in it and let it dry, and when you take out the plaits you have big beautiful waves! The hair is virtually tangle free. Oh, and its only 19.99 per bundle!

Ok i have really thick hair so think infact that i have yet to find a clip large enough to hold it up and when i fix it my main options are wearing completely straight OR mousing it down while wet and letting it kink. When i do try to style it on side fixes really pretty and the other one will fall straight IMMEDIATELY. What can i do to style it?

Oh and im getting married soon so some formal ideas would work too....its kinda cut in layers with the back kinda long and the front and sides are like to my chin and it gradually gets longer as it got to the back of my head.

Okay well you can go to the hair dresser and ask them to thin out your hair, and when they do that they make layers to fine out your hair. Try that, also just putting moose in your hair, and scrunching it, making it curly would look okay too.. :)

and for formal ideas, after the "thinning out" ty putting your hair in a half bun, all in curls. then some curls falling down.

I have horribly thick hair that is so heavy it won't hold any type of curl. I stylist finally convinced me to have it thinned. I wished I had had it done years before. I can actually have a hairstyle instead of a ton of flat hair. I have it thinned on every third or fourth visit to my salon (every 6-8 months).

jessica simpson and her hair stylist, ken paves, just came out with a great line of hair extensions. Considering, Jessica has gotten hair extensions before, she obviously knows what she's doing. i think it's about 80 dollars but it's less than getting glued/sewn in extensions.

the best thing for your hair is to get real hair put in, although not amazing for your hair either. plus, you'll have to drop a few hundred bucks. i used real hair glue in tracks from sally's and they lasted about a month if you try not to apply shampoo directly on the tracks. they're not expensive and can be re-used over and over again.

theres tons of different kinds of hair extensions. If you have the fiancial means i say go for invisible extensions which is a strand by strand method thats really undetecable and u will still be able to wear your hair in different styles.

I highly recommend the Doctored Locks system of beaded application. There is no glue or bonding what so ever. The hair is attached with a small grommet type bead that is then clamped into the hair. It hangs and swings naturally and does not over direct the hair, which is what causes breakage with a bonded system. I have applied and worn just about every method of extensions and this is the only method that I have been able to stand for longer than a month! It also blends very naturally which is a huge plus. Most extensions are a TON of work to get to look natural and to blend properly. I can even "wash and wear" my hair with this method and no one is the wiser! I can wear a high ponytail and the beads aren't even visible. But do yourself a huge favor.....invest in HIGH QUALITY hair! Be prepared to spend at least $300 on the hair alone. I just had Great Length Hair extensions taken out of my hair. I had them for over 1 year and needed to have them taken out and put back in about every 5 months. These are said to be the best hair and method there is. They are protein bonded in the strand by strand method. The hair is gorgeous and very easy to work with. I will say though that I will never put them in again. My own hair did grow but was very thinned out after having them that long. I had to cut over 3 inches off the Length of my own hair just to make it look fuller and to get rid of the scraggly ends. I was very meticulous about the care of my extensions and they were beautiful. The bonds started to drive me crazy so I just wanted them out of my hair. I know people who keep having them in and wear them for years but now I know that if you keep it up you have to because they will thin out your own hair. I am now looking into clip in human hair extensions and am unsure of the best line. It's a toss up between Put on Pieces by Hair U Wear and EasiXtend Elite. Does anyone know anything about these lines?

I got extensions. I now look like a model, but sometimes I feel so fake for it. I got them so I could feel good about myself because I'm not a good short haired person. I've always looked better with long loose waves rather than short frizz. I was told they would not damage my hair and that my hair would grow out while wearing them. I would like some pointers to help take care of my hair and grow it out while wearing them or should I waste the $800 I paid and get them taken out and feel depressed and miserable about my hair again but at least I wouldn't be damaging it. okay if you feel comfortable in them they should not be a problem at all! If short hair doesn't suit you then this is a perfect alternative until it grows out. You should never feel "fake" for wearing extentions. Extentions, as well as makeup, are here for empowerment; to enhance your natural beauty while making you feel AND look better. I couldn' t see myself taking them out and wasting 800 bucks, but that's just me. But here are some tips on taking care of them while you have em!

*Whenever you style your hair, be sure to use a heat protectant thermal spray or cream. Your grocery store probably has them right next to the shampoo. The new TLC by Sunsilk is a pretty good line that's cost efficient. Herbal Essence offers some, and my favorite are by Garnier Fructise. Although I cannot remember the exact name if you look on the bottle it will describe the products purpose and exactly how much to use.

*Try to use thermal/ceramic irons when styling hair to avoid over heating or burning your hair. With ceramic irons you get a smooth finish throught your strands rather than the sporadic burning that can occur when using a regular curler/flat iron.

*A great way to avoid heat styling alltogether is "wet set" your hair. After you've washed and conditioned it, apply a leave-in-conditioner and or setting lotion. I use a a wrap mouse by Kera-care. Once you have applied the conditioner/lotion set your hair on rollers (I find that the velcro ones by Goodys work best. But you may find that another type works better for you...u can find them anywhere from walmart/grocery store/sally's beauty supply... to your local swap meet) Sit underneath a hooded dryer for 20-30 minutes. If you do not have a hooded dryer, u should just tie a silk scarf around your hair until morning. When it's time to take the rollers out (depending on the size of the rollers smaller ones make tighter curls, larger ones make looser waves) you should have a head full of bouncy, curly, hair.

*It is very important for women of color to cover their hair at night. Doing so helps to prevent breakage and hair loss. If u do not have a silk scarf, I read that sleeping on a silk pillowcase does the same trick. Or you can go to your local beauty supply and they should have an array of satin bonnets and head ties. I am not quite sure how important it is for caucasion women to sleep with their hair wrapped at night, but it won't hurt (unless you're trying to look cute :)

*Women of color: steer clear of products with alcohol in them. These will dry your hair out and cause brittleness in the long run.

*Try not to weigh your hair down with a lot of messy, goopy, heavy products. Try light refreshing mouses and sprays. John Frieda offers a good line as well Herbal Essence. Herbal Essence also offers a great shampoo called "Degunkify" and conditioner called "Drama Clean". Using these two together will help rid your hair of all the product build up; AND leave it smelling GREAT!

Tigi always has good products, Mizani, John Frieda, Herbal Essence, Frizz Ease, Loreal, Revlon, Vidal sassoon and an array of other products can be found at your local Walmart, CVS, or Walgreens (or any other drug/dept store) I also recomend going back to your hair dresser and asking her what products she recomends....

I read that Greatlengths extentions are very good, so they shouldn't damage your hair. As with all products though, everyone's personal experience is different. Hopefully these tips will help to preserve your extentions and you will grow to understand that there is nothing wrong with enhancing your beauty or changing your look!

baseball caps, military style hats, trucker hats, its all good. if its winter/cold where you are, have her wear a knit hat (like a beanie or toque). if she feels like being a little funky, find a Santa hat. it doesnt matter that its past christmas, she can just say she's getting into the christmas spirit a little later than everybody else.

Look for something bright, or something with a pattern - itll detract from any uneven-ness in the cut.

unless your school has a dress code against hats, dont worry about it - they're super cool. i think that over a quarter of my school wears hats daily, including girls. it works on everybody, from preps to emos to goths to scenes (i've definitely seen it on all of them)

Many are straightening thier hair after blow drying and it is a nice polished look. I have a straighter that was used before but It doesnt straighten my hair properly. I hear the really good ones are 100 dollars are more. Can you reccomend a good straightenig iron for a reasonable price and how does one become good at straightening hair?

Also I got a hair cut and I have a round face the person who cut my hair cut it very short and when I let it dry it looks curly choppy and messy. The salon person blew it out and straightned it and it looked good. My question is what is a good way to grow out hair to a bob length or just above the shoulders because when hair grows from short to long it goes through that awful in between stage any suggestions?

Basically after your hair is dry you can straighten it.

I dry mine first just to make it a little faster.

I would either recommend a Hair Art or Chi.

Chi's tend to short out alot but they work really well.

I just ordered a HairArt from Amazon.com and it was $100.00 even and it works fantastic! It has these liquidized crystals within the ceramic plates called tourmaline, it makes your hair soooo shiny and sleek. It keeps your hair straight for longer too.

I would just suggest trimming it every now and then when you are growing it so it doesnt look too awful. Straighten is during that time period so it will look good and polished.
