I need suggestions for a new hair cut. Bangs?

I have had the same long straight brown hair without any style for forever. I am getting a haircut tomorrow and I want to change something. I have a picture of me, but my hair is up. That will have to do because my camera is broken.

I am really open to suggestions. I was thinking maybe side bangs, but long (ending at my nose) and thick or straight-across my forehead (covering my eyebrows). Please post which one of these would look better and your own suggestion if you have one. Thanks.

I just got my hair cut this afternoon and I LOVE it. The woman cutting my hair told me that what seems to be the popular style now is the collarbone-length haircut with a lot of layers and side swept bangs. That happened to be how I wanted it. It's refreshing after having long straight hair, and it's cute and fun :)

You should get long layeres for your hair, especially if you don't want a too dramatic change. I also recommend getting side bangs that are razored and that end a little past the bottom of your eye. also, part your hair to the side.

I made a list of what i think would suit you:

1. Side bangs, with long layers; grow your hair past your chin to get volume around your shoulders- it will make your face seem a little wider at the bottom. Use a styling cream that gives shine and texture so your cut doesn't fall flat. (Bumble and Bumble Brilliantine hair product works best)

2. Heavy bangs; try full nags- they look fantastic across your strong forehead. Use a shine spray to give the illusion of movement. (VO5 Dazzling Shine Ultra Light Shine Spray is a good product)

3. Short and full (this is the most drastic hair cut); get a short cut to exaggerate your narrow chin- in a good way. Use shine serum to eliminate frizz. (Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum is a fantastic product)

i wuz in the same place as u a while ago , long brown hair so i got i cut a little under my shoulders, layered and cascading bangs but i also got i highlighted and i LOVE it like this even if i didn't have the colour in it i would still LOVE it

Think of what you really want, what do u think really fits u and if u can't think of anything then ask people u no and ask the hair stylist what best fits u... I dunno if u should or shouldn't cause the pic ain't workin but no prob

hm- i'd try something fringy, as far as bangs go. try thick side swept bangs. that'll be the happy medium between the two options you talked about, and it's so fun to style. you can get it texturized. as for the rest, give your stylist a few ideas but then let her run wild with it. my best hair cuts have been when i wasn't too specific with what i wanted. just go in expecting a change and leave happy!
