How do you blowdry your hair flicked out?

i want my hair to look straight, but not quite.. i'm thinking either waves or a flicked out style. my hair is very long. what should i do? and how?

ps- i want to do it myself and not at a salon.

my hair is really long too! i always use garnier fructis sleek and shine leave in conditioner and volumizing leave in spray. spray near the roots and run the leave in conditioner throught your hair. use a distiller head on your blow dryer (available at target) and flip your head upside down and blow dry! when your hair is dry don't brush it, just run your fingers through it so your hair doesn't get poofy from the blow dryer. use some Biosilk hair oil serum and viola! your hair has a perfect amount of wave. hope this helps!!

i have long hair (down to my waist) i blowdry mine straight and then use a flat iron, so i always have stick straight hair. HOWEVER.......when i want my hair wavy, i let it air dry when i get out of the shower and tie it up in a bun for like an hour. after i take it down i have soft waves.. it works well.

Use a round bristle brush and blow dry your hair while curling your tips out with the brush. This should give you hair a nice flair! Goodluck ;-)

i use my straightening irons to flick my hair out, you just straighten as usual, but then angle the irons slightly when you get to the end of the hair shaft. This means you can control how big the flick is. Also, it might be worth not doing all the strands flicking in one direction because it looks quite rigid then. If you flick them in different directions, it adds a lot of movement to the hair. x
